Transfers will only be accepted from other licensed FFL dealers (Transferor). Please fill out the form below so that we can send them a copy of our FFL. They will need this prior to shipping your firearm to us.
Step 1:
FFL Transfer Requirements
Step 2:
The firearm has shipped. Now what?
We receive several shipments each day. We ask that you wait at least 24-48 hours from the date of delivery for any FFL transfer before attempting to pick it up. We will contact you when it is ready to be picked up. Please do not just show up expecting it to be ready if you have not been notified. Feel free to call when it arrives and if we can get to it sooner, we will be happy to assist you.
Step 3:
Pick-Up
When you come to pick-up the firearm, you will need to complete a Federal Form 4473 and present a valid Texas Driver License / Identification Card (with current address) and/or military PCS orders, the same as if you were purchasing a firearm from us. You will also need to pay your transfer fee which is $44 per firearm for members, $55 per firearm for non-members. Class III transfers are $100.
Transfers that have not been picked up within 30 days will incur a $25/month storage fee. Transfers that have not been picked up within 90 days, unless we have approved a longer timeframe in writing, will be considered abandoned and become the property of River City Gun Works. This applies to all firearms, suppressors, and NFA items.
FFL Transfer Form
If you would like to have a firearm shipped to us, please fill out this form. We will then send a copy of our FFL to the transferor. Once firearm arrives to our store, please allow at least 24-48 hours for processing. You may contact us to see if your firearm is ready to be picked up, but please DO NOT just show up assuming that is it ready to be picked up. Transferor is the business or person you are acquiring the firearm from.
